In July 1998, six bed and breakfast owners met, exchanged information and ideas as to how we might broadcast the news about our wonderful establishments and our beautiful and historic town. By the end of the meeting, we had formed the Port Hope Bed and Breakfast Association. Since that time, we have held house tours, garden tours, raised funds for our local theatre, the Archival Society of Port Hope and, we have grown. Our membership has risen from six to eleven members. We advertise together and independently. Above all, we support and help one another. Each member is licenced by the Town to operate a bed and breakfast and is annually inspected by both the building and fire departments. We offer a diverse range of accommodation - from famous historic icons to an Italianate villa. The architecture and style of each home, the gardens, the number and size of rooms, ensuite, private or shared bathrooms and how much they cost per night, covers a broad spectrum which will appeal to all. Please note, all of our establishments require a valid credit card or deposit for reservations. Note also the individual B&B's cancellation policy at the time of booking. Our objective is to make you, the traveller, feel welcome. To make sure you find accommodation best suited to your needs and budget and to make your stay in our town a memorable one.
